Hyatt Place Chicago/Midway Airport

This review is specifically for James Brown. My wife and I got held over in midway due to the winter storm and we booked some time at the Hyatt to wait for our rebooked flight. James was a Rockstar. He kept us entertained, he was polite, and he did it all basically alone - front desk, chef, bartender, you name it. Hyatt should be so lucky to have a team member like him to take care of their guests. Give that man a raise, or some help for God's sake.

Very nice hotel and the price was good. Figuring out the TV was tough. You need to be more tech savvy or have clearer instructions. We had to go downstairs to ask what to do to just watch local stations.

So this is one of my favorite hotels to stay at thus far in the Chicago Bedford Midway area. When I first walked into the hotel, I was greeted by Vanessa. She was amazing. Had great customer service. I asked literally 1 million questions and she was patient. She was extremely informative knowledgeable about the food. Places in the area asked me questions so that way she could make better recommendations. She just was amazing. Going up to my room the first one I went to I was not a fan of the view and I came back down. She changed switch rooms without any issues. I even had a few issues in my room and housekeeping was awesome. I can’t remember her name a younger black lady, but she was so amazing. She just jumped in and got my room together to my specifications. Yeah, I am a difficult customer and a tough cookie to crack and what I will say is this experience at the Hyatt was simply above and beyond amazing !! from Vanessa at the front desk to the housekeeping to the comfort of the room. The only thing I will say is, the pool is inside and it isn’t heated and the water is a little cloudy so there’s no one really in there and it’s not really attractive in the breakfast if you’re a person that enjoys pork then you’ll love their breakfast menu but for those that don’t eat pork, you still have a few options but you’re limited! 11 bucks for an all you can eat Breakfast is not bad at all especially in Chicago like there’s nothing below 20 bucks but if I could make a recommendation, it would be to offer up some sort of non pork meat.

I have stayed here many times when I travel to Chicago. The rooms are large with sofas and very clean. The staff is very friendly and let me do early check in or late check outs when necessary. They also have a security guard at night. Elevators are fast. Free parking is a big plus.

We've stayed at this hotel twice and is usually where I check first when staying in Chicago. Area seems pretty safe (this hotel is part of a block of hotels in a little area close to Midway). Biggest perk, to me, of this hotel is no additional charge to park. Checking in was quick both times, staff is always super friendly. Elevator requires a room key, which is nice for security, and rooms are clean. The first time we stayed, we utilized the shuttle service to Midway, had no issues and was very nice and convenient. Second time we stayed was during a winter storm, the parking lot, etc, was plowed when we went to leave which made leaving easier.

First time here !!!! Loved the experience!! Front desk people!!! (YOUU ROCKKKK) Thank you for the great attitude, atmosphere, hospitality, leadership because you is what represents HYATT I got my room for a Thursday-check out Friday,,, my room was actually specious a small little living room area and my queen size bed a nice closet, small fridge, and a beautiful bathroom… sucks that I wasn’t able to take pictures…… but I definitely will be going back to this hotel. What I also loved about them is that there’s free parking, I didn’t explore much of the lobby area,…… 10/10

Got stuck overnight in Chicago. Decided to go with this Hyatt Place and am very pleased that I did. The room was beautiful. The walk-in shower was great. Lakesha at the front desk was also super nice and helpful!

We stayed at this hotel for two nights and Hyatt exceeded our expectations! After a 19 hour drive up from Florida, we were greeted very kindly at the front desk. She was nice enough to have us get an earlier check in so we could go in and rest. The room was a great size, very clean, the beds were comfortable and the water stayed hot. The next morning we went and opted in for the breakfast they offer. The spread they had was very impressive, truly something for everyone. The overall kindness and accommodation left a long-lasting impression, and we will be back to this Hyatt when we return to Chicago!
